"Our time is suffering from ever more radical disputes and seemingly irreconcilable differences. Perhaps it is no coincidence that different writing systems such as Arabic, Cyrillic, Chinese and Latin still seem alien to each other. Typeface design can play its part in building bridges and facilitating communication. When typography strives for dialogue and integration, it is far more than just a surface; it emphasizes the diversity of languages, structures and ideas and thus helps us to better understand what we have in common," I write in the editorial for TYPODARIUM 2024, which is dedicated to the topic of "diversity" and in which 292 type designers from 34 countries present their typefaces. The global bestseller is being published for the 15th time this year and was designed by Julia Uplegger for the first time. Thank you for the wonderful work!
